New Old Dining Table

I bid and won this dining table last night from ebay for $109 delivered. It will be delivered Thursday night and then I can look at sanding it back and restaining a nice chocolate/walnut colour. I am also thinking of buying new or secondhand chairs to go with it either highback timber or fake leather chairs.
Here it is:

Photos of Frames!

I went down today and met up with my brother and his fiancee and checked out my frame. They started Tuesday and looks like it was finished Friday, three days was much quicker then I expected. Looks like I will be paying the next progress payment sometime soon.

This photo is my brother and his fiancee, with all the other cottages in the background.

Wow frames have been started

I have just been informed by a colleague that lives at Aldinga that my frames have been started today. Woohoo!

The other frames had been started probably about a month, but it has taken a while for them to work their way down to mine.

We went down on Saturday to have a look and as it had been pouring it was thick in mud! They had done the frames from 1-15, windows in cottage 1 and electrical had been started in the others. I will now go down on the weekend and take photos of my unit for everyone. I wonder how much they will get done in 4 days...

Wow I am so excited that they have finally started my unit!

Site visit

They were meant to start the frames on Monday, but in Adelaide we had rain so I don't think anyone would have been on site so I decided to go down and have a look Tuesday and see what was happening.

I left straight from work and found it will take under 45 mins to get home which is fantastic and not much stop start traffic, but 100 km cruising!

Got to the site and saw not much had happened at all. The plumbing is all done just waiting for the roof anf gutters to be connected up, but no framing has started yet. The wood was in a pile, but that was it. It was a nice drive and I wish I was living there now, but instead I then had to drive home, which took about 1hr 20 due to the one way expressway not going my way :(

Good drive, but not much is happening. I am very anxious, but maybe no visit this weekend, but will go down again the following weekend and fingers crossed for some framing up.

Frames to go up Monday

The developer sent an email the other day advising that the frames should be going up Monday. This is fantastic as it has been a slab for so long. It may even require me to go for a drive on Monday night to see if anything has happened to my cottage (as there are a total of 24 being built at the same time) and take photos or I might try and wait until the weekend.
